Storytime with La'Zhay: "Mae Among the Stars"

Join us for a special storytime in celebration of Black History Month as we read Mae Among the Stars, a powerful and inspiring picture book written by Roda Ahmed.

When Little Mae was a child, she dreamed of dancing in space. She imagined floating among billions of stars, discovering the wonders of the universe. She wanted to be an astronaut. With encouragement from her mother—“If you believe it, and work hard for it, anything is possible”—Mae’s curiosity, intelligence, and determination helped her achieve her dream of working at NASA and becoming the first African American woman to travel in space.

This beautiful story celebrates big dreams family encouragement, perseverance and hard work, and the power of believing in yourself! Perfect for families, classrooms, and young dreamers everywhere, this read-aloud encourages children to reach for the stars! NO DREAM IS TOO BIG!💫
